How to apply

All applications for the Clinical Management of Pain programme are to be made via the University’s online application system called EUCLID.

Please ensure that you read the guidance about the University’s application process before you start.  This will give you information about what you will need to provide including references, academic degree and transcript information and what to do after you apply.

The University provides guidance on the Application Procedure

As part of your application to the programme, you will also need to submit a Personal Statement.  Your Personal Statement should be no more than 3,500 characters (approximately 500 words) in length and should be written in formal English, using appropriate grammar and punctuation.  Your Personal Statement should include:

  • Why you are applying for the programme
  • Your current clinical roles and responsibilities with particular reference to patients experiencing pain
  • What experience and attributes you bring to it and your fellow students
  • How you plan to use the knowledge and skills you develop, and
  • How the programme fits with your future career plans

The assignments in the programme will be difficult to complete if you are not in a patient-facing, clinical role, have been away from practice, or have been only working for a short time.  If the information you provide in your Personal Statement is limited, the programme team will contact you for more details.  Please write your Personal Statement carefully as these are scrutinised by the programme team during the applicant selection process.

Further guidance on your Personal Statement can be found at the link below.
