Below is the preliminary programme structure for the upcoming session:

Day one: 10.00am-4.30pm

  • Stages of sleep – lecture and practical

Day two: 9.30am-4.30pm

  • Review of day one and questions
  • EEG arousals – lecture and practical
  • Respiratory events – lecture and practical
  • Limb movements – lecture and practical
  • Artefact recognition – lecture and practical
  • Individual scoring practice
  • Questions

Day three: 9.30am-4.30pm approx.

  • Review of day two and questions
  • Reporting PSG – lecture
  • Case studies – group exercise
  • The multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) and maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT) – lecture and practical
  • Individual scoring practice
  • Producing a training portfolio
  • Questions
