Participating in the "Writing in Surgery" course, generously funded by the European Hernia Society (EHS), was a uniquely valuable experience. I was fortunate to receive that year's EHS award for a fully-funded position, which provided a fantastic opportunity to deepen my expertise. I am deeply grateful for the support from EHS and encourage other young surgeons to apply for this award.
