The Scottish Mechanotransduction Consortium (SMTC) aims to increase understanding of mechanically responsive cells. We have wide range of facilities available for use by external parties. All of the body’s tissues experience mechanical forces and the SMTC aims to increase the understanding of these mechanically responsive cells to bring about improved treatments for a range of disorders.
