Programme structure

This is a part-time online postgraduate programme, run over three years.

This is a professional postgraduate qualification for clinicians managing medical emergencies in children. We have a single intake of students in September of each year.

Credit allocation for awards

  1. Certificate: completion of year one - 60 credits.
  2. Diploma: completion of years one and two - 120 credits.
  3. Masters: completion of years one, two and three - 180 credits.

For students to be awarded an MSc in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, they will have successfully completed years one and two with the accumulation of 120 credits before undertaking year three which includes one compulsory course and a specialised written reflective element (dissertation) which lead to the accumulation of 180 credits.
