Leica TCS SP8 confocal laser scanning microscope

Equipment details

This system is based on a fully motorised Leica DMi8CEL (inverted) research microscope, and the scanhead is equipped with one conventional photo multiplier tube and two highly sensitive HyD detectors. The entire microscope is controlled via the Leica LAS X software , which includes the Navigator module that is very intuitive and ideal for semi-automated image acquisition from large sample areas. The software also provides modules for spectral unmixing and ratiometric Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET). The system is also equipped with a stage top environment control chamber to maintain optimal conditions for live cell imaging (temperature, carbon dioxide concentration and air humidity).
