The murine heart viewed by optical projection tomography.

This is an optical projection tomography (OPT) image of a mouse heart 7 days after induction of myocardial infarction by coronary artery ligation. Differential autofluorescence allows discrimination of healthy myocardium (red) and healing injured myocardium (purple).
