Background

Donna trained as a Registered Nurse in Bangour General Hospital, specialising in burns and plastic surgery, before training as a health advisor for West Lothian Council.

She started working as a Sleep Nurse Specialist on night duty in the Department of Sleep Medicine in 2005. She joined the Sleep Research Unit as a Research Nurse in 2010.

She has completed sleep counsellor training with Sleep Scotland, a charity that works with children and teenagers with sleep problems.

Research interests

Currently, Donna is working on the European Sleep Apnoea Database (ESADA) and is assisting in a study investigating the prevalence and treatment of sleep apnoea in adults with Down syndrome.
