AfC Band 6 37.5 hrs per week.

The opportunity has arisen to join our imaging team. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge equipment and be involved in innovative research. The imaging team comprises of a PET/CT & CT core and an MRI & PET/MRI core.

There is a vacancy for a radiographer or technologist with nuclear medicine and PET-CT experience to join our PET-CT & CT core in the facility. Experience in research and CT imaging is highly desirable. Cardiac imaging experience is highly desirable.

 

The role

This role will be to support the research and clinical activities within the centre. This will include administration, data management and additional support for research projects.

You should have a methodical and analytical approach to your work and have good attention to detail. You should be a team worker with a flexible approach to work. You must be committed to providing the highest quality service to patients, research participants and colleagues. Imaging team radiographers/technologists will be expected to be proactive regarding further education and continuing professional development and have a commitment to research.

Flexible working may be required as workload demands, such as evening scanning. There is also the opportunity to contribute to the MRI evening and weekend service at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
