Dr Adriana Tavares is a Chancellor’s Fellow in PET imaging at the Centre for Cardiovascular Science, and Head of the Preclinical PET-CT Laboratory at Edinburgh Preclinical Imaging (EPI). Dr Tavares has been elected as a council member for the European Society for Molecular Imaging (ESMI) for 2022 – 2024. Together with the Executive Committee – consisting of the current, Past and Vice Presidents, Treasurer, and Secretary - the elected Council members determine the future direction of the European Society for Molecular Imaging. We asked Dr Adriana Tavares her thoughts on being elected. “I’m grateful to the ESMI community for all their support over the years and for continually pushing forward the field of molecular imaging. I was delighted to hear the ESMI council election results and look forward to continue helping ESMI any way I can”.
