It targets every level of research staff, from PG students to principal investigators. The course is divided into seven modules covering essential topics of basic & some advanced light microscopy. The main modules of the course are: the nature of light basics of light microscopy confocal microscopy sample preparation live specimen imaging image formation & restoration digital camera technology image analysis advanced light microscopy technologies The delivery of these topics is designed to improve the understanding of optical imaging methods so participants can get the best out of their imaging experiments. The course is a cross-Centre initiative & due to Covid-19 measures, all lectures will be delivered online as a two-day event. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis & the number is limited to 30 participants per course to guarantee an informal & interactive format (a £40 fee applies).
