Job Purpose Located at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Edinburgh BioQuarter campus, the role will principally involve conducting eye imaging assessments, communicating with participants and liaising with various study teams. The main responsibilities of the post-holder is to schedule study visits, undertake protocol-based ophthalmological imaging of participants, assist in the analysis of images, and follow quality assurance procedures to ensure that all data is accurately recorded. The post-holder will be required to operate several instruments including a scanning ophthalmoscope and optical coherence tomography to obtain images of the retina (training in all techniques provided on site). Previous experience with research of this type is desirable but not essential. The post is funded for 18 months in the first instance, with the possibility of extension dependent upon continuation of funding.
