31 May 24. EIF QMRI PET CT closure

Edinburgh Imaging will replace the EIF QMRI PET CT scanner.  13 Sep 2024 will be the last clinical scanning day on the EIA Siemens Biograph mCT.  

Edinburgh Imaging will de-install the system and refit the scanner rooms in advance of installing a new Siemens Quadra Total Body PETCT scanner.  

The exact start-up date of the Quadra machine will be confirmed by the contractor team.  We anticipate the Quadra machine to be available from the beginning of January 2025.  

Please note that this means Edinburgh Imaging will have no research PET or any CT capacity between 14 Sep 2024 and Jan 2025.
