The British Heart Foundation (BHF) are holding their 19th imagery competition, closing 31 July 2024 The BHF's annual competition brings to life the groundbreaking work of our heart and circulatory research community across the UK through stunning imagery. They want you to think big and bold – images from across microscopy, medical imaging, photography and beyond are all eligible for consideration. They want to be dazzled by your creativity. The most striking image will be awarded Reflections of Research Judges’ Winner by our esteemed judging panel. Followers of BHF on social media will also be invited to vote on the shortlisted entries to crown the Supporters’ Favourite. Their new video category that is open to BHF-funded PhD students only, we’re asking students to capture what a ‘Day in the Life’ of a researcher looks like, demonstrating the breadth of cardiovascular research that our early career scientists undertake. This category will be judged by the BHF Fund the Future Club – a philanthropic giving group that helps BHF to fund PhD studentships. The deadline for entries to the BHF’s image and video competition has been extended to 31 July. In addition to the usual image category, they’ve introduced a new video category specifically for BHF-funded PhD students, inviting them to document a 'Day in the Life' of their studies, and how their research plays a part in their daily life.
