The Edinburgh Imaging Facility RIE will appear tonight at 9pm on BBC Two's Horizon episode: 'The Great British Intelligence Test'. A few weeks ago, a BBC film crew visited the Edinburgh Imaging Facility RIE as part of the BBC Horizon & Imperial College London's project: 'The Great British Intelligence Test'.During this visit our radiographers carried out an MR scan at the EIF RIE, on University Challenge's Bobby Seagull, as a measure of intelligence. The radiography team used the Lothian Birth Cohort (LBC) DTI imaging protocol.Dr Simon Cox from the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences, spoke with Dr Hannah Fry & Bobby Seagull about brain structural metrics, & whether in general these are linked with intelligence differences. Tonight, the segment about research at EIF RIE airs on BBC Two at 9pm. Be sure to watch! For information on The Great British Intelligence Test and how to participate, please click here.
