The Opportunity:

The opportunity is funded by Neurii, a collaboration of organisation aiming to translate world-class data, neurology and digital sciences into projects that can enhance the quality of life of people living with dementia.

The successful candidate will work with a world-leading team of imaging scientists based in the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, and work in collaboration with scientists in artificial intelligence at Schools of Engineering and Informatics. The successful candidate will report to Professor Joanna Wardlaw CBE, one of the UK’s leading scientists, and Dr Maria Valdes Hernandez, Row Fogo Lecturer in Medical Image Analysis.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. 

Your skills and attributes for success: 

• A post graduate degree in quantitative sciences, ideally with experience of working with MRI and CT
• Advanced knowledge of computational methods in imaging science, ideally in neuroscience
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of working with health systems data in secure data environments is an advantage
