MRI research to lower stillbirth rates in Scotland MRI research to lower stillbirth rates in Scotland Staff from the Clinical Research Imaging Centre have been involved scanning expectant mothers with advanced magnetic resonance imaging to examine the placental health. The research project, hopes that such scanning will be used to help prevent stillbirth, by clinicians being able to alter the delivery timings, in babies that are too small.
