A successful day at the SINAPSE ASM in Edinburgh. SINAPSE ASM Celebrating 10 years of SINAPSE, the 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting was held at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh on Monday, 25 June 2018. All attendees thought the meeting was a huge success, so special thanks go to Kristen and team. All the presentations were extremely interesting and kept the audience abreast of developments in clinical and experimental imaging, with a focus on research based around MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, EEG, MEG, ultrasound, and human optical imaging. Congratulations to all those who won awards, in particular those from Edinburgh! Best poster Dr Mark MacAskill, Postdoctoral Researcher, Centre of Cardiovascular Science was awarded the 'best poster' prize for his research 'Preclinical assessment of 18 F-LW223; a novel TSPO radiotracer for the detection of inflammation using PET'. Image SINAPSE Poster winner Image Plenary talk prize Wendy McDougald, a PhD student with Dr. Adriana Tavares, won the Plenary talk with greatest potential impact - 'Standardisation of preclinical PET/CT imaging: a necessary step towards achieving translational imaging datasets'.
