Edinburgh Imaging's new facilities are set to open in Autumn

Edinburgh Imaging's two new research and clinical imaging facilities are on schedule to open in the Autumn of 2016.

We are delighted to announce that the building work for Edinburgh Imaging's two new research and clinical imaging facilities at Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary site at Little France, are on schedule to open in the  Autumn of  2016.  

The facilities will unite world-leading clinical academic expertise in stroke, cardiovascular disease, retinal imaging and brain imaging as well as and non-clinical academic's expertise in image processing, image analysis and data management.

Our CRIC (Clinical Research Imaging Centre) will house:

PLUS our BRIC (Brain Research Imaging Centre) will house hospital-embedded MR scanners at two Edinburgh sites:

These facilities will greatly enhance medical imaging technology and allow for more in-depth research to be carried out, ensuring that Edinburgh Imaging remains a unique, world leading imaging facility, with over 20 facilities working together,  to offer a full imaging service - from the cradle to the grave.

The Clinical and Brain Research Centres will form a core part of the new NHS Lothian Edinburgh Sick Kids and DCN Hospital, at the Little France Campus, which is due to open in 2017.
