Professor van Beek made a Fellow of the ISMRM on 13 May 2019. Professor Edwin van Beek is the SINAPSE Chair of Clinical Radiology at the University of Edinburgh and the Director of Edinburgh Imaging Facility QMRI, has been made a Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. He was presented with his award at the 28th Annual Meeting of the ISMRM in Montreal in May 2019. This prestigious international award, is in recognition of Edwin’s significant and substantial contributions in the field of pulmonary and cardiovascular imaging over the last 30 years. He has also served the society through various roles in committees and the editorial board of the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
