Dr Michelle Williams is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Centre for Cardiovascular Science & a Clinical Lecturer for the Edinburgh Imaging Academy.

For nearly 10 years Dr Williams has been an active member of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging / British Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography (BSCI/BSCCT).

Dr Williams recently won the election to be appointed the next president of the BSCI/BSCCT, & will take up the role of president elect of the BSCI/BSCCT in September at the annual meeting, & then will become president in 2023.

We asked Dr Michelle Williams her thoughts on receiving this appointment.

“I really enjoy being part of the BSCI/BSCCT community - this is a very supportive group of multimodality cardiovascular imagers who it is a privilege to have represented on the executive committee & trainee committee.

I am currently secretary of the BSCI/BSCCT & have previously lead the trainee committee & organised the website & social media activity of the society. It has been an honor to be part of the BSCI/BSCCT executive committee & I am delighted to become president elect of the BSCI/BSCCT.

As president of the society I plan to facilitate further on-line educational activities, develop national opportunities for research & audit, as well as representing society members in other national & international imaging communities.”
