The annual PET is Wonderful symposium was held on 23-24 October with over 120 delegates in attendance. Image Tim Morgan Image Hannah Borecka-Bielska & Dan Pugh The annual PET is Wonderful (PiW) conference was held on 23-24 October at the iconic Playfair Library based within the Old College at the University of Edinburgh. Over 120 delegates attended over the 2-day event.To kick-off the event the keynote speech was delivered by Professor Weibo Cai from the University of Wisconsin. There was also proffered talks from various academics across the UK and beyond, plus a final session chaired by Dr Adriana Tavares featuring PiW's industry sponsors. Day 2 commenced with a keynote speech from Professor Ronald Boellaard, VU University Medical Centre in Amsterdam and closed with some further presentations on clinical PET imaging.The conference organisers were also delighted to award 3 travel awards to the following individuals:Lucia Maccioni, University of Padova, ItalySevban Dogan Ekici, King’s College London, UKZara Small, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UKPlus a further 3 prizes awarded in the following categories:ESMI ECR Molecular Imaging Award to: Dan Pugh, University of Edinburgh, UKBest poster award to: Hanna Borecka-Bielska, University of Edinburgh, UKDelegate engagement prize to: Tim Morgan, University of Edinburgh, UKCongratulations to all recipients!Overall it was a fantastic couple of days spent in the heart of Edinburgh and feedback for the event was extremely positive, with 4-4.5/5 received from participants.
