Biomechanics is a short course created by the Edinburgh Imaging Academy, targeted at those interested predominantly in ultrasound imaging. Image Ultrasound image of a vessel including Doppler trace. Our Biomechanics course teaches about fluid / flow biomechanics, including lectures on biofluid dynamics, mechanics of solids, normal circulation, plus ageing & diseased arteries. Blood & blood flow, mechanotransduction, plus simulation & modelling examples allow more in-depth exploration of fluid / flow biomechanics.
