The DEMAND-MI Cases educational resource to provide an overview of the clinical presentation and imaging findings in patients with type 2 myocardial infarction, has released the first 20 cases for review. Image The DEMAND-MI Cases training tool officially launched in May 2021 and had been gradually populated with interactive cases. As of now, the first 20 cases are live and accessible for users to review. We will populate the database each week with more cases until the full 100 cases are live. We will notify those already registered as and when new cases go live. Background The DEMAND-MI Cases cardiac imaging educational resource is derived from the cardiac imaging study: "Determining the mechanism of myocardial injury & role of coronary disease in type 2 myocardial infarction" (DEMAND-MI-NCT03338504). DEMAND-MI is the first prospective observational cohort study that aimed to determine the mechanism of myocardial injury and role of coronary disease in patients with type 2 myocardial infarction. This educational resource provides access to the DEMAND-MI study cases including clinical history, coronary & structural imaging. Content The DEMAND-MI educational resource compiles one hundred clinical vignettes for all study participants, and includes: History Examination findings Routine hospital investigations such as: Haematology Biochemistry blood tests Electrocardiogram, and Study imaging Relevant coronary imaging Invasive coronary angiogram or CT coronary angiogram and Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging MCQ questions related to the electrocardiogram and imaging findings An interface which allows you to select & manipulate images Summary information so that you can compare your approach to each case, with the adjudication panel's approach In addition, this educational resource includes questions on the investigation and clinical management of patients with type 2 myocardial infarction.
