As the Edinburgh Imaging Radiochemistry facility temporarily closes for refurbishment, we look back at the facility's close working relationship with NHS Lothian. Image Edinburgh Imaging Radiochemistry facility The Edinburgh Imaging Radiochemistry facility was opened in 2010 & currently houses a cyclotron with supporting radiochemistry suites to create both GMP & research PET radiotracers. The EI Radiochemistry facility has now temporarily closed for refurbishment. For the last 12 years, the Edinburgh Imaging Radiochemistry facility has been delivering the NHS Lothian oncology PET service. This service initially included FDG PET imaging only, but more recently expanded to provide the Scottish national choline PET service for oncology.
